Established by architects António Miguel Ferreira and Delfim Martins, together with civil engineer Sergio Morgado, building concept is an Architecture studio based in the Algarve, Portugal.
Developing projects in areas which include habitation, touristic equipments, urban planning and visual design.
Our commissions range from private and commercial clients, as well as self-initiated projects in network with other coleagues in different parts of the world.

SOLAR PASSIVE, THERMAL MASSIVE
We believe that the performance of a building is largely the result of inspired design and usage of optimized systems, not the application of the most advanced technology. Establishing design guides with a solar passive performance. Using thermal mass to achieve confort. Focusing on insulation and eliminating cold-bridging. Relying on natural ventilation for internal air quality. Controlling solar gains and minimizing heat losses.
RETROFITTING
An oportunity. There are plenty of properties which are set in beautiful surroundings with gorgeous views over the landscape and the sea. The problem is that most of them are simply dire. For two reasons: they are ugly to look at and they are poorly built, with poor insulation or none at all, with black mould and condensation problems, with obsolete plumbing and electric installations. The good news is that there are plenty of these houses waiting, and wanting, to be demolished or retrofitted.
